IMH supports NETA Training Open Evening

For decades we have been investing in training for new and existing staff, helping them to upskill and expand their knowledge – we do this because we recognise the importance of investing in people.

In addition to this our company founder, Paul Griffiths MBE, set up our own apprentice training scheme which has been running since 1995. And as part of this we work with NETA Training, which is why when they asked us along to exhibit at their apprentice open evening we were delighted to attend.

For those interested in engineering but not sure what avenue to go down, attending an open event is a good first step to see what is on offer. We were able to talk to those who attended and provide guidance on engineering and what it’s like to work in the industry.

We’re proud of our ability to provide expert training with hands-on experience as demonstrated recently when one of our current apprentices, Hugo, visited the Boston Barrier project in Lincolnshire to witness the barrier going through technical tests.

Hugo Abrol, Trainee Mechanical / Hydraulic Engineer at IMH said: “I am pleased I chose an apprenticeship with IMH to further my education and career, I’m learning so much every day.”

Luke Morris, Trainee Pipefitter at IMH commented: “I know my apprenticeship is giving me valuable hands-on experience while I am studying. I have had some great opportunities and all the employees at IMH are knowledgeable and provide great support and advice.”

If you decide a career in engineering is the route for you NETA Training Group has a great range of engineering courses. The company was founded at its current location in Stockton-On-Tees in 1975 to provide technical training service to the local engineering, offshore and petrochemical industries.

Therefore, if you would like to develop your skills and get into engineering we’d encourage you to take a look at the courses they have available.

And, if you already have some engineering experience and want to work for a leading hydraulics specialist take a look at our current vacancies.
